Hi. I'm new to linux and any instructions on how to install a tar file would be appreciated. I followed Adobes but it didn't work.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi,

Please go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer on the browser of your choice i.e. Opera.

Choose the options from the drop down list as per your requirements.

Extract the tar.gz deliverable. In the extracted folder, you will find Readme.txt containing the exact location where you have to place the deliverable.

Restart the browser and verify.

Let us know if you face any issues.

Thanks!

It says I don't have permission to create the file in lib folder. The folder doesn't exist and I'm the only user. Now I'm lost.

Yes. I try to extract it to the folder stated in the text file but the folder doesn't exist so I try to create it and it won't allow me to.
