I CANT INSTALL FLASH PLAYER 10.0.22.87

This is the error message i get when trying to install Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.22.87

Error opening file for writing:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll

SOMEONE PLAEASE HELP ME!!!! I really want to watch videos on youtube.

Try this

• download the Flash Player uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
• close all browser windows and run the uninstaller
• reinstall Flash Player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

If you still having troubles after this, post back with more information, like your OS and browser.

i did what you suggested but i still get the same error. My OS is Windows XP Pro and my browser is Firefox i tried IE but it doesnt work on that either.I

Your browser (Firefox) is closed when you run the installer, right?

If the answer is yes, can you try to boot into Safe Mode, then run the installer from there?

One more question: are you running as an administrator, or a user without administrator rights?

Sorry, I have never seen this error, so I have to ask many questions to find out where the error is coming from.

Never mind i found out that the problem was ThreatFire from PC Tools. Thank you for helping me though.
