Installing Flashplayer

I cannot install Adobe Flash player.  I have tried all troubleshooting tips.  Now, the old version is uninstalled, so I have nothing.

Can you be more specific..what happened , what is the OS you are on....Are you getting any error message or not.

I am using Windows XP. I get the message "failure to initialize"

shortly after it starts to download.

Can you check with a different browser?

We tried it with IE 7.0.

1) download the flash player cleaner tool from the link :- http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

run the uninstaller to remove all the remaining component of the flash player.

2) Craete a new administrator user account

3) Downloadl the flash player from this link:-http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

4) right click on the flash player setup and select "Run as Administrator" nad then follow teh onscreen instruction

I finally got Flashplayer installed by clicking on the large, direct

install link found in the blogs! Wish that had been suggested 5 days

ago. Thanks for trying.
