I downloaded recent version of adobe flash player 11.7.700.224. I can only hear audio but cannot view any video. I running off of Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9. I ensured I did in fact downloaded the recent version. I disabled the Active X filtering. I enabled flash player add-onns. I deleted all flash player browsing data. However once in the advanced tab, in the bottom I found my ActiveX Version: 11.2.202.235 and Plug-In Version: Not Installed. Finally I removed the flash player cache. I couldnt disable the flash player harware acceleration because I could not view the video. Are my problems stemming from the Plug-In version? If so, which Plug-in do I install? Finally, if not what is the problem?

You need the plugin if you use other browsers (e.g. Firefox) beside Internet Explorer.
What exactly means "cannot view video"; do you see black, or white, or green? In that case you may need to update your graphics driver; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

Pat,
Thank you for your prompt response. I see black. The upgraded flash player worked fine on chrome. However, for Internet Explorer I see a black window for the video and can only hear the audio.

Pat,
Certain websites, i.e. IMDB and ABCnews.com, when I click on the video I don't even get a window for the video. Only thing that can be seen is the background webpage along with audio. There is no new window for the video and the audio starts automatically. When I go to ESPN.com, I can view a black screen where the video is suppose to be. Audio once again can be heard.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
