My computer has windows vista 32bits, AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-50, 1600 Mhz

Hi, Let's take first things first. Did you use the Adobe Uninstaller first? In Programs and Features or Add/Remove do you

have a listing of DLM(Download Manager) and or getPlus? If so Remove both and then Reboot(restart) your computer.

Download the Uninstaller to your Desktop:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Don't run this yet. I need to know what browser(s) you are using and the versions.

Also what Anti-Virus Program you use and the version number would be helpful.

Do you use any third party Firewall or just Windows Firewall?

You need to run as Administrator.

Until you post back that info, you may want to read over the Uninstall Instructions and if you have any questions, post them at that time.

Be sure your IE Security for the Internet Zone is set to Medium while Uninstalling/Installing.

Thanks,

eidnolb

Hi, thanks for the info.  The DLM (download manager) sometimes causes problems, so it is better not to use it if you don't have to.

Did you check in Add/Remove via Control Panel or Programs and Features for what I posted to you before? Let me know about that. It may cause problems when you try to Install this time, so it is better to Remove both of them.

Also, using IE, find manage add ons and check "All add ons" and look to see if there is a get_atlcom Class listed. I don't think with IE8 you can remove it, but Disable it if it is there.

I will give you the instructions and the Flash Player Installer that you will download and put on your Desktop.

What I am going to have you do is Uninstall and Install Flash Player 10, but we need to do these things first.

Let me know.

Thanks,

eidnolb

Hello,

I checked Add/Remove programs as you said, and both of them aren't there anymore.

I also checked about IE.

I think it's ready for you to give me instructions to install the Flash Player

I really appreciate your help

Thanks

Hello again. Thanks for checking those items. You already have the Uninstaller on your Desktop from my previous post.

Now you will download the Flash Player Installer for Internet Explorer and SAVE this to your Desktop:

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Because an Anti-Virus program can cause problems and you don't want to be on the Internet without protection, then

do the following:

1. Disconnect from the Internet

2. Disable or Turn off your Anti-Virus

3. Look in your system tray(the area where the clock is) and disable any applications that use Flash. You can look at the Uninstaller information which lists some of what to look for.

4. Close all browsers, you don't want any windows open. You'll just be looking at your Desktop.

5. RUN the Uninstaller from your Desktop. When it is done, Restart your computer and when it is completely restarted, then Restart it again(to make sure any old Flash Player files are removed. When completely restarted, then:

6. RUN the Installer from your Desktop. When that is done, then Restart Once.

7. Now you will Re-Enable or Turn back on your Anti-Virus.

8. Connect back to the Internet.

Then go to this test site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ This will tell you what version of Flash Player

has been Installed. It should say 10.0.45.2

You can also check websites to see if you are having any problems.

After this, post back and let me know that you have completed this.

If you have any questions about any of these steps, I'll be on line for awhile tonight.

Thanks,

eidnolb
