Hi,

we have similar issue in china region and multiple resources impacted by this issue. so do we have fix available now? Manual installation is not a solution for 1000+ users so either we needed an upgrade or offline package to fix this issue. below is error screenshot other than above listed image.

I branched your post to a new topic as it's not exactly related to the one you posted to.

This error is clear in that required component is not running. Please uninstall Flash Player (using the standalone uninstaller posted at Uninstall Flash Player for Windows ) and re-install Flash Player, downloaded from www.flash.cn.

At this time, enterprise distribution is not available for clients in the China region.

Hello Maria,

Do you know if this issue will be resolve in the next update, or if a fix is at least in the pipeline? We are also in a similar situation where we cannot manually fix this on large number of devices spread over vast distances. This can't be the install method for Flash player from here on out for the China region?

If this issue persists, is there anyway to know what metric Adobe is using to determine the region the device is located in so we can exclude devices in China and not break their Flash installs?

Hi Maria,

The only option left us for these vast number of machines to rollback the update and go back to version 29. And for version 29 we have many security risks associated. So we have support contact number to discuss the issue? even if the support is paid we are ready for that. please advise.

We’ve noticed the issue seems to be related to how Flash is being installed. We still haven’t figured out what it is about the Chinese region or builds that is triggering the issue.

It’s possible Adobe is not providing this fix as an offline installer because it really isn’t a different release at all. Issues with Flash seem to start when installed under the System account, such as via SCCM or any other enterprise software distribution system. I have tried this a few times with the last two releases today with the same result. Installed with elevated rights, using RunAs or PowerBroker the install seems work and a user can access sites that require Flash. When installed via SCCM or using psexec to launch a system instance Flash does not work properly, of course only on Chinese boxes.

The recent release '30.0.0.134' does not appear to resolve the issue.

The offline installer will not work properly in the Chinese region.  Currently the only Flash Player version available in the China region is posted at www.flash.cn.  Adobe stopped issuing distribution license agreements in the Chinese region late last year, and all non-expired licenses were cancelled earlier this year (a notification was sent to the Adobe ID/email address that had requested the distribution license agreement).

I'm not sure what you mean as for a fix.  Users's in China region must download the installer from www.flash.cn, the authorized distributor in China.  At this time, there aren't any offline installer available for software distribution management tools, such as SCCM.  Adobe is in discussion with the authorized distributor to offer these, but I don't have an ETA as to when it'll be available.

What support email, specifically, are you looking for?
