I have Vista and am trying to install adobe flash plug in and can only get to the initiallization screen.  I'm a novice so treat me like I'm in kindergarten!  Thanks

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

RIGHT click the one you need, and "Save as".

Save it to your downloads folder and close your browser.

THEN, run the installer.

Flash player installed but it isn’t doing what it’s supposed to. Some of my pages still indicate I need to install flash plug in.

Let me guess. You're using Internet Exploder 11?

Don’t know how to tell if it’s Internet Explorer 11. When I install using all other browsers, it loads but I’m not able to use it. When I install using internet explorer it does not work. YIKES

Download and run the Flash Player Uninstaller

Then use the MSI installers:

http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_13_active_...  <---for IE

http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_13_plugin....  <---for other browsers

The MSI installers are different from the others I linked to. they use the Microsoft Install Wizard instead of the Adobe Flash Installer GUI.

Afterward, see: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448 and: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
