I have been unsuccessful with downloading latest Flashplayer.
Message keeps saying to close a Brother program, even after I have deleted them, and downloaded the latest version of Brother software. Tried 3-4 times with same result. Please help.
Flash Player is actually located in the following locations (if you are on a 32bit system, it's just in the first folder. If you are on a 64 bit system it'll be in both.)
c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash
c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash
What type of document are you opening that is requesting Flash Player? This isn't happening in your browser?

Usually you only get these messages if you are trying to reinstall the same version. Can you visit this page: Flash Player Version and verify that you aren't using 11.6.602.180?

What is the exact message that this installer is telling you? A screenshot could be helpful.

This is what I see
First screen below.
I then close internet explorer
Then I see the top screen.
I then delete all files with brccmctl, and I keep coming back to the top screen. So flashplayer cannot load.
I had flashplayer before and nothing has changed to my knowledge.
Now I have even lost the version I had, when I tried to download this new one

Ok, thank you. What you'll want to try next is opening up your task manager, then looking for all instances of "brccmctl" and "iexplorer" under the process tab. Once found, right click and select "end task". Once all entries have been removed, try installing again.

OK, that seemed to have worked, but then I try to open the document, and it tells me to get Flashplayer again !
And I cannot see flashplayer anywhere in my program files

Ok, thank you. Since you are using Internet Explorer, can you please try the steps outlined in the two FAQs below to see if that helps enable Flash?
Thanks,
Chris
