What to do when flash is discontinued?

I read this at https://www.andplus.com/blog/flash-is-dead-thank-god-whats-next.

It read "But what happens to all the existing content out there that can be rendered only on the Flash player? For existing Flash content, the eventual, final version of the Flash plug-in will still work after 2020, and Adobe will work with browser makers to ensure security vulnerabilities are patched. In addition, Adobe is, admirably, providing software to convert Flash objects to HTML5 friendly content. Content owners who really care will take advantage of these tools, and those who don’t will let their content fade into obsolescence."

So is this true?  Will Adobe provide software to convert to HTML5?

None if these things seem to match what Adobe and the browser makers have said publicly. In particulat, most browser makers have said that support for Flash Player will be removed from the browser by the 2020 deadline. Given that, there is no "work" that Adobe could do with them. Also, if Adobe were to fix bugs it would not be the final version.

Others have said that automatic conversion from Flash to HTML5 isn't even possible at the client level; it really is a question of doing the project again. It's technically possible to provide a server process that renders the Flash into images and delivers it, but I've not seen any hint that Adobe would offer this.

So... I wouldn't bet your future business on what the blog seems to say. It may be based on a misunderstanding of what has been said.
