Windows Edge is a browser, not an operating system.  I'm assuming you're using Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge.  In that case, see Adobe Flash Player issues with Windows 10 (Microsoft Edge)

It's quite possible the Flash detection in the content you're attempting to view doesn't conform to Edge's Flash detection standards, which results in the browser not detecting Flash and prompting you to Allow Flash on the page.

What is the exact link to the content you are attempting to view?

Thank you for providing the URL.

The issue is with the content itself, not Flash, nor the browser.

Flash will be end-of-lifed at the end of 2020.  As we approach that date, browser vendors are making it more difficult for users to Allow Flash to run.  Due to this, content creators need to update their Flash detection scripts to conform to these ongoing changes.  In this case, the browser doesn't detect the content has Flash and thus doesn't prompt the user to Allow Flash on the page.

In contrast

  • if you use Chrome, you can go to Site Settings and explicitly allow Flash on this page and the Flash content will display
  • If you use Firefox, Firefox will block the Flash content, but prompt you to Allow Flash, however, the content will be blocked due to an insecure connection

Please contact the content creator to fix their page to conform to the browser vendor's current handling of Flash (which as mentioned, is constantly changing as Flash's end-of-life approaches).
