Hello
Now that Flashplayer will be fired out from many browser by the end of 2020.
I have a simple question: can i package my flex sdk3 application to run within the adobe air runtime (for the desktop) and hope that it still work after 2020 ? Does AIR still be able to run applications wich are running before within the flashplayer plugin in the browser ?
Thanks in advance
I can't really speak to AIR. I know that the AIR team is working on updating the roadmap, but I don't have details.
For maximum longevity, you might want to look at native HTML and JavaScript solutions. There are some
interesting projects around transpiling Flex to JavaScript which might serve your needs. I haven't played with them much, but I think they came out of the Apache Flex community, which has been stewarding Flex for the last several years.

Hello and Thank you Jeromiec,
It's seems that the AIR team are commited for the future of AIR but I m still rewriting a confirmation based on their Next RoadMap.
The migration from the browser plugin to a desktop app using AIR must give me some oxygen and time to migrate our Apps to native web standards
The question now is if Adobe air still be able to run swf files after 2020 ? Does the flash player still exist ? can I still using the HTML tag to load a html page wich embed an swf file after 2020 ?
Thank you again
Sabri
