Adobe won't work on my pc. It is only 2 months old, and was working before.  I try to download and an error occurs. Apparantly

it is preinstalled on my Windows 10 pc.  I've tried everything. I am an old woman and not very computer savvy, so any help you can give me

should be in words I can understand.  When I go to plug-ins it says I don't have an Adobe Flash Plugin.

I need to know how to get Adobe Flash working on chrome, actually it doesn't work on any others either.

Thanks.

Hi,

Microsoft does indeed embed Flash Player in IE and Edge browser in Windows 10.  They also disable Flash Player by default and force users to enable it per-site (e.g. every site you visit that has Flash Player).  There isn't an option to 'enable Flash always for all sites'.

How to enable Flash on a site depends how that site has beed coded to IE and Edge's Flash detection.  Please see Troubleshooting Flash Player on Microsoft Edge for more information on this.  Also, if the site you are attempting to view Flash on is publicly accessible (no login required), please post the link to the site.

Thank you.

Hi mattheww1230047

Thank you for posting the link to the site. Very helpful.  Unfortunately, that site is not coded to conform with Edge's click-to-play implementation. If it was coded to conform to Edge's click-to-play implementation, Edge would intercept the mouse-click when the user clicked on the 'Download Now' link and display the 'Allow Flash' dialog window, but instead, clicking 'Download Now' link launches a new window.  Since Edge forces users to allow Flash for each site they visit, there's no way to enable Flash for the site you want to access.  The alternative is to use a different browser, such as Internet Explorer.  I got the following results accessing the site on IE with Windows 10, OS Build 1703:

I recommend you contact the content provider and tell them their site doesn't confirm to Edge's click-to-play implementation.  This Microsoft blog post also contains instructions (towards the bottom) of how to report the non-conforming site to Microsoft.
