adobe flash player

cant update my adobe flash player,when I click in it in my control panel go to updates the 3 options you have the first one ...allow adobe to install updates (recommended) is coloured grey instead of the spot being blue,i cant upload pictures to my f.b so im thinking this is the problem can anyone help but in simple terms as im not computer minded person cheers
