I enjoy using a site named The JigsawPuzzels.com. Since Flash Player is no longer available on Chrome I have not been able to load this site as in the past. The puzzle loads in a " funky" way with tiny misshaped pieces. The site says to use Control R keys which makes no difference. OR clear browser cache, which I have done. Neither of these two solutions helped. Microsoft says to use an alternative to Flash. But then what? Does it automatically connect or what steps would I need to do to make something like that work?

There is no alternative plugin to Flash Player. The alternative is for the folks at FigsawPuzzles.com to migrate their Flash dependent games to some other technology.

Look at non-flash, HTML5 -based puzzles like this one. I'm sure a Google search will reveal many more.
Chrome and MS Edge have stopped supporting Flash Player for the same reason ALL browsers stopped supporting 3rd party plugins -- concerns about security. This planned phaseout of all browser plugins has been in the works for years in cooperation with Apple, Microsoft, Google, Safari, Opera, Mozilla and more...
