Hoping someone can help.

I can't install Flash Player in Firefox (though in internet explorer it installs without any problems). I'm using Windows Vista on a brand new computer. When I click to install, I get a pop up stating:

-----
You have chosen to open
install_flash_player.exe
Which is a: binary file
from http://ftpdownload.macromedia.com
Would you like to save this file?
-----
The two options I get are "save file" or "cancel". When I choose to save the file, the download screen in firefox appears - but it's blank ie. nothing appears in the new tab. Immediately (ie in less than one second), I get a message in the bottom right of Windows stating "Downloads complete" - yet I haven't actually downloaded anything, let alone been able to install Flash Player.

Any advice??? Thanks...

I've encountered the exact same problem. Must be related to Vista? Apparently no one has a solution.
