Flash on Opera doesn't appear to install

I'm trying to get Flash player installed but after I'm done following the steps and waiting for it to finish installing it completely disappears.

Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions this is the website I start the download from, I'm using Opera, though no other browser I've tried on this and two other computers have worked. Indeed, they all have the same issue. My settings are not set to block flash player and other than the one to block, there's only one other option available concerning flash player.

I've been trying for hours, looked through the forum and while I found several others with similar problems, I found no answer. I'm starting to lose my patience. I don't care which program is at fault for this, I'm sure Adobe is lovely. Also please don't give me any "handy links", instead I'd appreciate a step by step guide to fixing this issue so I can just get on with this and my day.

Also, whatever happened to just ringing up someone who could talk me through this?
