I'm not the brightest person when it comes to computers. I understand adobe will block flash player.  If I uninstall it how will I watch videos?

The vast majority of websites have moved away from Flash content.

All browsers have blocked Flash Player for quite some time now.  If you've not been prompted to enable Flash when viewing videos, then the videos you've been watching are not using Flash Player and you've got nothing to worry about.

Years ago, sites like YouTube used Flash Video and the Flash Player for us to watch the video content. YouTube moved towards MP4 video format with a video player supported in modern browsers through HTML5.

So - how you can watch videos on the web, the sites probably have converted their setup to not rely on the Flash Player and instead use HTML5. If you are visiting a site that has not done that, you should look to alternate options as these sites are dated and can pose security risks.

If you're interested, here is a link about YouTube announcing they have ditched Flash for HTML5 in 2015.
