i was using flash player
but i cannot anymore because it is retired
but some of our departments relayed on archiving to PDF and that only works with flash player

so i was wondering what can be done to resolve their issue now

You may need to upgrade Acrobat versions as recent versions of Acrobat should not require Flash Player to view PDF portfolio's, if this is what you're referring to.  If not, please post to the appropriate Acrobat forum for assistance.

I have the same problem.  Adobe seems to be very tight lipped about how to replace Flash Player.  I wish someone from Adobe would give a clear answer about what to use to replace it.

Adobe has not been "tight lipped about how to replace Flash Player".  Here's the original announcement from July 2017:  https://theblog.adobe.com/adobe-flash-update/

 

Throughout these forums you'll find staff members, who participate in this user-to-user forum when they have time, recommending over and over to migrate content out of Flash Player as it was scheduled for end-of-life at the end of 2020.

For enterprises that are dependent on Flash Player, there are a couple options available to keep legacy applications alive.
