instaling flash problems on my Mac

I recently downloaded flash. I agree to terms of service and click the install button.. a screen then pops up asking for a username and password. I input the only adobe information I have ever used and it continues to tell me I am wrong. Im trying to install this in my most recently updadted Mac.
