Hi,

Please share FlashPlayerInstallerManager.log, Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDM.log files. You can get the location of files from Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on the Macintosh? Please share these file using How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud and paste the link here.

Meanwhile, you can download the Flash Player from Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page.

Thanks!

Thanks for providing the logs.

I'm not sure that you ever got this resolved, but for completeness, there is an alternate set of installers at the bottom of this troubleshooting guide that will probably get you going.

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html

My guess is that there's something underneath us that's failing.

If I were giving you advice on how to troubleshoot this, it would be:

  • Reboot, becasue "When in doubt, reboot" is always excellent advice, even in 2019
    • Actually power the machine down, give it a few seconds to let all the hardware fully discharge, then power it on again.
  • If that doesn't help, check the disk for errors:
    • See the "Try Disk Utility" section:
      https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203176

While you're there, choose Repair Filesystem Permissions (Verify will frequently return clean, but then Repair will still fix a bunch of problems).

  • Run the Flash uninstaller, reboot, then try and run the installer
