User had a pdf document with flash content in it that would not open. We had to install flash player from the web (.exe) for it to work.

Going to roll out the latest plugins with SCCM so that this does not happen.  Which plugin/MSI needs to be installed so PDFs can view flash content?

ActiveX, NPAPI, or PPAPI?

Reader uses the NPAPI plugin.

Depending on the Acrobat/Reader version installed (XI), the ActiveX Control may also be required (it's used by PDFMaker).
