Latest Flash Player update is clearly FAULTY

I use Windows 7 and have tried everything with this latest FP update and nothing works – doesn’t work with Chrome or any other browser or with MPC HC 64. Doesn’t work on Youtube (the previous FP worked fine). I use an Asus external sound card and that works fine (obviously doesn’t use FP as it has proprietary sofware). Could you please FIX THE UPDATE so that it works with Windows 7? A couple of other Windows 7 users have posted with the same problem. It’s obvious that the thing is incompatible with Windows 7.

1. Chrome includes Flash Player, you should not try to download it.

2. Flash Player works fine in Windows 7.

3. Youtube used to use Flash Player, but it has not done so for YEARS.

So, your video playback issues may be serious but they are nothing whatever to do with Flash Player.

The latest version of Flash Player is tested extensively on all supported platforms and browsers prior to release, as such, works fine on Windows 7.

All supported browsers disable/block Flash by default.  The browser determines if the content requires Flash, and if so, prompts the user to enable/allow Flash, assuming it's installed.  If the browser can't determine if the content requires Flash, it can't prompt the user to enable/allow Flash.

As OP mentioned, YouTube doesn't use Flash Player, and hasn't for many years.  If you're experiencing playback issues on YouTube, the issue isn't Flash Player related.

Turns out that somehow a setting had changed in Windows having to do with the default audio device and that's why the device (an external sound card) wasn't working for the browser or youtube, though strangely enough it was working for AIMP. Perhaps FP changed the setting or wouldn't work with that setting (difference between default device being the speakers or the sound card itself).

Flash Player doesn't change any settings on the system.  If a setting was changed, it wasn't done by Flash Player.
