The adobe flash player installation goes through all the steps then asks for a user name which already has my name but askes to enter a password which i don't remember creating.  it does not ask me to create a new one if ive forgot like most installations

Clearly I'm not the only one who doesn't know what password is needed.  You would think if they wanted you to use their [moderator: expletive content removed as per Guidelines & Tips for the Adobe Forums] product it would not be so frustrating.  If there was any other  way to do this I'd jump at the chance.  [moderator: expletive content removed, as per Guidelines & Tips for the Adobe Forums ]

I'm guessing you don't install a lot of software. Almost all software does exactly the same thing, it asks for your computer's password. It's irritating, but it's part of protecting you from bad software.
