Hello i am trying to figure out why when i video chat with someone i can hear them but they can't hear me. How do i fix this?

I'm not really sure. I just downloaded it so i could visit with my family & it said the only way i could was with adobe flash.

To give you any useful advice, I'm going to need to know more about your computer and browser:

That said, try this:

  • Right click on any flash content
  • Choose Settings
  • Click the Microphone tab
  • If your browser pops up an authorization dialog, approve it.  If not, continue.
  • Choose the microphone you want to use from the drop-down list.
    • If the list is blank, just exit and start the steps over again. 
      (The browser will send the microphone data over now that you've approved Flash to have access to it.)
  • Talk into the mic.  You should see some activity, and you can adjust the levels. 
  • If they're too low, you probably need to adjust the mic input levels in your operating system's sound settings.
