There are no updates past 8/27, is there a new scup address or something going on with it?

Flash Player October release is scheduled for next Tuesday (the second Tuesday of the month), as such, it's not available yet.

The most current version available is 31.0.0.108, which is the September release.  For the latest version available see Adobe - Flash Player

You can also register to receive Security Bulletin updates at Adobe Security Bulletins and Advisories .  Unfortunately, there isn't an option to select specific products, so by registering you'll receive Bulletins and Advisories for all Adobe products.
