Old versions of Flash debug player on site

New Here ,
May 17, 2010 May 17, 2010

The Flash Player Downloads page (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html) has a number of older versions of the Flash Debug Player available for download.  There are links to both 10.0.42.34 and 10.0.32.18 versions.  However, these links appear to all point to the installer for the latest version, 10.0.45.2.  Can anyone else confirm this / is there another way to get these files?

Hi, I think you may need to check that link again. It appears you may not have paged down far enough.

Thanks,

The way I always used to get old versions of the installer was to download from the link corresponding to the release I wanted.  All of these links appear to now point to the same version.  Here are the links for the Netscape compatible and ActiveX installers under each of the three listed versions (clearly all pointing to the same file)...

Additionally, I seem to remember a bundle of old flash players that was available for download.  I can't seem to find that any more.  I'm looking at this page...

Hi,  On that page of the link you cited there is this section listing:

Adobe Flash Player 10-Debugger Versions

12/8/2009 "These new players are version 10.0.42.34"

Then 7/30/2009  "These new players are version 10.0.32.18"

Are these the versions that you want?

Thanks,

eidnolb

Yes. The versions listed under those headers are not the older versions.  At least not as far as I can see.

Hi, ok. Go to this link, which is the same you cited:

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html  Don't click on that "Get older versions", Stay on the page that the link opens with and page down until you see the two versions that I listed in my previous post.

Thanks,

Yes, that's what I've been doing.  They all link to the latest installer.  Have you tried installing one of them?

For the meantime I'm just going to download the archived debugger pack from the "old versions" page.

Hi, thanks. No, I haven't tried to Install any debuggers. I just assumed that since they listed "these new players are version 10.0.42.34 and version 10.0.32.18 respectively that they were those versions. I don't see the point that they are current versions when they have those listed at the top of the page. As a result, I have no explanation for what you are

experiencing.

This is a link I have for older versions:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

That is all I have. If I had a test machine, I would download and install those versions to see what the problem is.

Hope you find the versions you are looking for.

Yes I agree. I believe those links at one time pointed to the correct version, but since that no longer appears to be the case they are kind of pointless and confusing.  I guess the archived player packages are the only place to get older versions now.

Thanks

Hi, That makes no sense whatsoever to me either. I wish I did have a test machine! If I find any explanation on this, I'll post back to you.

I'll need to do some searching however.

Thanks,

eidnolb
