Problems with Flash Player on Firefox 16.0.2

It happened back in June, and took all summer before it was corrected and the flash player worked again.  I didn't do any modification ... the player just started working again after an update.   I just downloaded the latest update yesterday, and flash player isn't working again on Firefox.  No symbol, just loads the page and sits there blank.  It's affecting games on facebook, videos on youtube, and an online homework site for my class.  Still works for google email, but don't really know what it uses as it still works after flash has crashed ... and due to some of the flash games, the flash player crashes a lot.

OS is not the problem i got same Problems on Windows 7 and now Windows 8 ~ Firefox is not the problem.

Can't figure out how to uninstall just the Firefox flash (Chrome & IE flash players are still working ... for now). 

I'm hoping that the developers will see this & correct the issue so using an archived version isn't needed. i.e. be able to use current version w/o problems....

With the same OS I had similar problems and even worse.

The issue was outdated drivers.

Windows/Control Panel/ Device manager/Properties/Update Drivers showed everything was up to date.

But apparently Microsoft does not update drivers often, if at all.

It is very misleading.

I was about to reformat when I found and tried DriverMax.

It was free for 2 Driver Updates per day, and faced with a reformat, I tried it.

It immediately found 7 outdated drivers.

I was only able to install 5 of them but the results were immediate and dramatic.

Windows is smooter and faster.

And Flash works perfectly.

No freezing, jitter or lockups.

I just know they were reviewed positively on CNet and I didn't really care if it worked or not.

It does, and I recommend them.

The odd part is Windows will insist the drivers are up to date when they are not.

Try that and let us know hwat you find.
