In the past I have had no problems in seeing videos on my Lenovo Idea PC via Microsoft Edge. In the last couple of weeks the video images have disappeared when accessed to leave a green screen. I can hear the commentary linked to the video and see the time line but no images. I have come to realise this may have something to do with Adobe Flash embedded in Microsoft Edge being disabled - no longer supported. I may have subsequently uninstalled Adobe Flash but I'm not sure. Happy to speak to a specialist on the telephone and allow a specialist into my PC to see and hopefully resolve the issue. Thanks and Best Wishes. Michael Fox
The green thing is usually a hardware decoding issue. If you haven't actually rebooted the computer since the problem started, that's the first place to start. "When in doubt, reboot" is still sage advice. Actually power the thing down, let it rest for 30 seconds so that everything fully discharges, fire it back up and see what happens.
If the problem persists, the green rectangle is usually an indication that the hardware isn't able to decode the video. Check to see if there's a driver up

Microsoft hasn't yet removed the embedded Flash Player version, however they have released an optional update to remove it (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4577586/update-for-removal-of-adobe-flash-player). If you ran the optional update, the only way to get Flash Player back is to restore the system to a restore point created prior to running the update, or re-installing the OS. This is from Microsoft and not Adobe.
What is the direct link to the content that is not working?
Have you tried using a different browser and seeing if the content works on a different browser?
Regarding your comment "Happy to speak to a specialist on the telephone and allow a specialist into my PC to see and hopefully resolve the issue. Thanks and Best Wishes." Flash Player is a free product and Adobe does not offer support for it. Staff participate in this user-to-user community forum when they can in-between their regular workload. No one from Adobe would contact you, nor connect to your PC, to troubleshoot Flash. If someone does contact you (as a result of this comment) trust that it is not from Adobe and do not grant them access to your computer.

Nothing video related has gone into Flash recently that I can think of, and Microsoft hasn't pushed a Flash update in a while.
