We are trying to uninstall the Adobe Flash on our Windows Server2012 R2 servers and are having issues. We don't see it in installed programs but when I go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed the files are still there.

Which Flash Player type (e.g. ActiveX Control for IE, NPAPI for Firefox, PAPPI for Chromium-based browsers) are you referring to?

Microsoft embeds Flash Player in IE in Windows Server 2012. Due to this, it's considered a component of IE and therefore, it doesn't appear in the list of installed programs, and there isn't a separate uninstaller for it. On Server 2012, Flash Player for IE is enabled when Desktop Experience is enabled, as such you could try disabling Desktop Experience, if possible for your business needs, to see if that removes the files from the %WinDir%\%SysDir%\Macromed\Flash directory.

It doesn't remove it at all. How do these files get updated then if it is embedded in IE? I have a handful of servers that are out a date of Flash but cant find a way to update it.

I wasn't sure if it did or not. Thanks for confirming it doesn't.
The embedded version of Flash Player is updated by Microsoft via Windows Updates.
