Update changes default fonts?

I just installed the latest flash update and it appears the default font for Mandarin characters in Chrome was automatically changed.  It is the only change that I have made in my computer in some time and it was working perfectly fine until I installed the update.  How do I undo this and why would this be considered a good idea?

Flash Player is a built-in component of Google Chrome, and updates are managed through Google's update manager.

My guess is that you got both a Flash Player and Chrome update at the same time.  We don't install or remove fonts on your system.
