Why is Flash Player not on my iMac?

I have downloaded and installed Flash Player 11.5 numerous times over the past few days. It always tells me Flash Player 11.5 successfully installed on my iMac with Mac OS 10.7.5, but when I go to look at SOME items, they tell me I need to download Flash Player. I've lost them now, because I had to sleep sometime!

The only item I can find on the computer when I do a Find, is the Adobe Flash Player Install Manager, which will only uninstall. The Flash Player plug-in is not in my Internet plugs-ins in the Library. Only the .dmg file and the Install Manager are anywhere to be found.

I dsabled all my anti-virus software. I reinstalled, and all that's there is the icon, the Install flash player app and the flash player installation manager which will uninstill it.

It is NOT in my Library/Internet plugins.

So where the heck is it. Find will NOT find the application or plug-in.

I'm frustrated as heck!

It should be located in /Library/Internet Plugins (at the system level, not your user level.)  Can you post the contents of the page displayed when you go to Safari and select the Help->Installed Plug-ins menu item?
