Hi,

I recently discovered a way to fix the problem until Adobe sorts it out, and it isnt hard to do.

It will fix:

No-clicking of download button
Silent install problems (on the web page)
No installation on webpage.*
No activex on webpage*
No gold bar on webpage*
and hopefully other problems (the ones I've not experience on my computers)

* when the webpage seems dead (no internet traffic between you and the website.

1. Download the latest Uninstaller from the Flash site
2. Go to Start > Run and type 'cmd' and press enter
3. Make sure the uninstaller is in your My Documents, if it is on the desktop type 'cd Desktop'
4. Type 'uninstall_flash_player.exe /clean'
5. Once completed, close installer.
6. Download this file: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/ts/documents/tn_19166/Install_Flash_Player_9_ActiveX.zip
7. Install this version of Flash Player 9
8. Go back to the Flash install page
9. Accept the agreement
10. Flash will install properly now and will update the version you have just installed to the latest version)

I hope this helps, please note that the above was done using a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine, the instructions may differ for 98/ME/2000 or Vista (ie the command prompt etc)

Enjoy,
Sephz0r.

Update.

If you have any problems after doing the above, follow these instructions:

1. Complete steps 1-10
2. If still not working go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Advanced
3. Select Low from the drop-down box
4. Click OK
5. Click Apply, close the window.
6. Restart internet explorer.
7. Go to the Flash install page and try again.

Once thats done go back to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Advanced and then select Medium again and click OK then click Apply followed by closing the window. Or just click the 'RESET' button in the advanced options dialog.

Hope this helps :)!
