I tried to update my flash player today and couldn't remember my password. After setting up a new one via the email I am now being addressed by a name that isn't mine. I'm not sure how to proceed as it seems there is an issue with my who my email address is related to!
Adobe support recommended I post this on the forum and an expert would help me out.
This is your OS prompting for the password, not Flash Player. See What userid & password do I need to install Flash Player? for assistance.
As for receiving an email addressed to someone else, that isn't an issue that can be addressed here on the Flash Player forums. I'd contact support again, and tell them you changed your Adobe ID email address and the confirmation email you received had someone else's name. Don't mention Flash Player at all. If you mentioned this in your original communication with them it's probably why you got sent to the forums.
