Alt + arrow key shortcuts not working?

Can anyone confirm that the Alt+arrow-key and Altt+Shift+arrow-key shortcuts to move selected text items in the arrow directions are no longer working in the latest releases of FM?

FM8 still works as expected, but it looks like starting with the new interface in FM9 this was borked.

All of the commands and shortcuts are still there in the current Wincmds.cfg file.

Quick test with FM10 – Alt+arrow and Alt+Shift+arrow shortcuts move selected graphics as expected inside an anchored frame, and also move text frames on master pages.

Not quite sure what you meant by text items, I then selected a word … and discovered to my utter astonishment that Alt+arrow and Alt+Shift+arrow moved my selection round the page quite independently and without any rewrap =8-} Tell me if there's anything else, and I'll be happy to check.

Niels,

Thanks for confirming that it still works in FM10.

The alt+arrow movement also applies to text, so you can custom-adjust the horizontal and vertical positions (the FDX and FDY components) of any selected text item in your text flow. This would allow you to create character styles with custom subscript/superscript positions as you require for your "equation" setup. (However, be aware that if you ever subsequently modify any character tag containing these custom offsets using the Character Designer, the FDX and FDY components will be removed!)

Now I just have to figure what's interfering with FM9-12 using these vs. FM8 and earlier, where this works just fine on my machines.
