Automatically populate a text field in header in FrameMaker?

Hi,

I am working in Adobe FrameMaker 11 (unstructured). Is there a way to place a text frame and have that content populate into the header area of subsequent pages?  In other words, if I have a Publication Date:______ and Publication Number:_______ in two different areas in two text frames on my cover page and (whatever I put in there) I want that specific date and publication number to auto-populate to a header in subsequent pages, is there a way to set that?  If so, is it set in the master pages or can that be created directly in the body pages?

Thank you for any help that could be provided.

Brad

That type of content is best placed in a background text frame on the Master pages. Also consider using user-defined variables for the date and number entries. You might want to have a look at Leximation's BookVars plug-in (see: Leximation: BookVars) to facilitate handling of variables across all files in a book.
