When trying to update from version 16.0.4 to version 16.0.5, I get an error message that tells me there is a conflict. It says "Please save your work and close the following programs for all logged in users, then click "Continue": -Adobe FrameMaker, -FrameMaker is invoking characterMap.exe (Error Code:131)"
then it says Quit or Continue. and Get Help. I followed the directions in Get Help, but it is not solving the issue. I am the only person with the program. No files or books are open. I shut down anything Adobe related in task Manager and any other items it says. It is not fixing the issue.
Originally I was doing an update in hopes that the program would not get hung up when I was trying to save the book as a PDF.
If you press Control+Alt+Delete and open the Task Manager, do you see a CharacterMap process? If so, quit the process and try the update again.

No, that was not showing when I tried it. I did close out of anything else FrameMaker or Adobe related to see if that would fix the issue. I will check again to be sure. Thanks.

Found it! It was under details. Ended task. Now the conflict says, "Please save your work and close the following programs for all logged in users, then click Continue: Adobe Framemaker (Error Code: 131). Quit or Continue."
Clicked Continue. Didnt fix the issue. Closed everything out and tried again and now magically it is half-way through installing.
I did all of this yesterday 3-4 times with no results. Thanks for your help.

I am not sure where you are with the process. Did you get the update installed?

Brilliant. I never knew that was the issue, Rick!
