Hi,

I am using Tech Comm Suite 2. We are in the process of making our documentation 508-compliant. One of the Accessibility tasks it to turn on tagging before distilling the PDF. However, now Distiller will not produce the PDF and generates an error on the first page displaying a graphic. Is there any workaround besides turning off tagging, which is not an option?

What specific version of FM are you using, as shown in Help > About, including the "pxxx" numbers? What O/S and service pack?

Perhaps this will provide some direction --

Please let us know if this does help resolve the problem.

Tech Comm Suite 2 which consist of FrameMaker 9 and Acrobat 9 with all the latest updates applied. The Alternate text is also not being read in Acrobat to meet accessibilty standards, not sure if that is because tagging was turned off to generate the PDF...but that is a seperate issue....

And have you checked on the PDF/A settings as was explained in that forum message? Have you looked at any other forum search results?

[My apologies for sounding a bit testy, but crystal balls are in short supply -- we can't help you unless you give us some info to go on, what troubleshooting steps you've taken, etc etc.]
