I use the Ctrl-9 shortcut to apply paragraph formats to paragraphs, and it is no longer working since I upgraded to FrameMaker 8. Is this a bug or has the shortcut changed?
When it stopped working for me (and for a few other people) I/we discovered that there were other applications pre-empting that key combo. I turned off (I think) Notepad Lite and maybe Clippad... but it is working in Frame; it just seems to be paying attention to Windows conventions now.
Thanks for your reply, Art. This has been driving me nuts. How do I turn off Notepad Lite and Clippad -- do I need to un-install them from my computer?
For anyone else who's experiencing this problem, I was able to get the Ctrl-9 keyboard shortcut to work in FrameMaker by hitting the Shift key 5 times. This I found out that this is a shortcut to turn Sticky Keys (an accessibility feature) on and off.
En passant, I've been working with sticky keys for a while now ... one snag is that it seems to block the familiar Alt + code shortcut for special characters. (also, farther off thread, screws up a lot of Illustrator key-combinations) Anyone out there with any tips for getting the best of both worlds?
