I'm using Frame9. My figure captions are set up as follows:
Figure 4-2. Audio Signal Connections
When I want to add cross references for these, having the period right after the number can get in the way if I want to use it within a sentence. Is there anyway I can "hide" that period or do I have to delete it from the autonumber format in the paragraph designer. For example, it looks odd to write,
Refer to Figure 4-1. Audio Block Diagram on page 4-5. A comma would look better but I don't want a comma in the actual caption.

Use the <$paranumonly> and <$paratext> building blocks to extract the components and then build the x-ref the way you want, e.g. "Figure <$paranumonly>, <$paratext>"
