Diacritical marks in FrameMaker Equations

I see there are a few diacritical marks to choose from in the equation options, but I don't see the one I need. Framemaker also doesn't seem to allow pasting a letter with a diacritical mark straight into an equation. Am I missing something really simple? I am looking to place this letter into my equation: Ã³

I know I could proboably find a work-around, but would love to keep it simple. As a side question, what is the default font in FrameMaker equations?

I love how easy it is to access diacritics in FrameMaker. It's a sequential sequence (one key at a time):

Esc ' o will add Ã³. (the second character is a right apostrophe.)

It works on the page, and I just checked, it also works in the equation editor.

What tool are you using for your equations - I understand there are a few available in FM (I've never had to use any of them).

I am using this, I don't know what this particular one is called but I think it is the basic one.

Sorry, I also should have asked you about the version of FM you're running - your choices may have expanded in newer versions (but I kind of doubt that if you're using the built in equation editor - I don't think that one's had many changes).

I assume that you want to use this character in a string: no problem if the Default ¶ font contains this character:

EQ-editor-ó.jpg

If - however - you need it as a variable, then you need to follow the advice on https://www.daube.ch/docu/fmaker15.html

or https://www.daube.ch/docu/files/compendium.pdf#page=404

Happy to help, @Siara33297128jr0v. I wish Windows would adopt this system.

This works with a lot of characters. Here's a link to an old post that further explains the process (from 2010 but I reviewed yesterday to make sure it is all correct):
