disappearing text

New Here ,
Mar 02, 2009 Mar 02, 2009
It's been years since I've had anything like this happen,
but we changed our corporate fonts,
and the fonts I got given to use were very old (and not entirely licensed ;)

When I try to generate a PDF from FrameMaker, a lot of text is missing in the PDF and the Distiller logs are full of complaints.
(I'm using Frame 8.0 p277 with Acrobat Distiller 8.1.3, on Win XP SP3)

There are 50 or so lines in the Distiller log along the lines of
"Warning [DSC]: Missing float, using 0.0. Found:
%%DocumentSuppliedResources: procset Adobe_AGM_Image (1.0 0) procset Adobe_CoolType_Utility_T42 (1.0 0) procset Adobe_CoolType_Utility_MAKEOCF (1.19 0) procset Adobe_CoolType_Core (2.23 0) procset Adobe_AGM_Core (2.0 0) procset Adobe_AGM_Utils (1.0 0)"

Any ideas what that's all about?
"T42" - Type 42 fonts? Adobe Cool Type?
Am I trying to use some old/broken/obsolete font
(On the surface it appears to be a Formata, PS Type 1)

David, this is fixed by a hotfix update from Microsoft. Here's the link at the top of this forum in the stickies section:

For folks needing this info, since the Adobe forums changed the link above is no longer valid, so here are other links to the fix for the disappearing text problem:
