Equations

New Here ,

I am an educator that teaches math, and would like to be able to take advantage of the excellent discounts offered by Adobe for educators/students. It appears that Adobe FrameMaker is the only Adobe application that offers Equation functionality, and I would need this functionality to create tests, worksheets, etc. It does not look like Adobe FrameMaker is available to purchase at a discounted rate though for educators/students. Are there plans to offer FrameMaker at a discounted rate for educators/students? If not, I will stick with Microsoft Word and my current add-ons.

Thanks!

There is an academic version of FrameMaker. I do not know if there is a Student and Teacher version.

I have been using FrameMaker to make mathematical purposes for decades. The revamped education store only lists Student and Teacher versions. Give the Adobe Education store a call or call an educational software reseller a call.

Follow this link to the FrameMaker product page, then click the "Student

and Teacher Pricing" link on the right-hand side of the page:

Mike,

The problem is that FrameMaker is not listed in the list of Student and Teacher Pricing list of applications. Hence dmstj's question and my response. It appears that Adobe has removed from the list all of the Academic versions of their software. They are only listing Student and Teacher versions, for which FrameMaker doesn't appear to have such a version. Hopefully, someone can put the Academic version back on the education store site.

Mike

Hmm... there used to be an academic version, and a Web search even shows

it for FM10. We're pretty close to the point in the typical 18-month

cycle where Adobe releases a new version of FM. So maybe the FM10

academic version is merely out of stock, and they took it down because

an FM11 version is imminent. That's just a wild guess. I have no inside

knowledge.
