Two updates to FM 2017 have been released.  The Help/Updates is not available for some of my team, while a few have been able to get the updates.  What needs to be done so all can get the updates?

Check your AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat file located at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0\AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat

This is a XML file that should have the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    <Preferences>

    <Suppressed>0</Suppressed>

    </Preferences>

If the "Suppressed" line shows anything but "0", then change it back to 0 (zero). This will prevent updates from running.

I've tried that several times, including downloading the file multiple times.  I get this error:

Adobe Frame Error.png

There are no administrator/permission issues according to my IT dept.

Are you installing the patch as an admin? Did you give yourself full control of your c:\ drive?

Hi Matt,

the best, in this case, will be if you send an e-Mail to tcssup@adobe.com and check with them and your admin together in a live support session. This will be probably faster than trying to find a solution.

Kind regards,

Stefan Gentz
