Someone, anyone, please help. My FM is running so slow, just scrolling up or down 1 page takes 15 seconds. I can't get anything done! This started a couple weeks ago, not terrible at first, but progressively getting worse. I also keep getting the "Not responding" message at the top. The only thing I can think of that might be causing this issue is that I signed up for the Windows Insider Program a few weeks ago, to abate the PDF-generation issue.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have any ideas?
This is the Windows version I am running:

Since the Win10 1803 fix is out now (July 24th's Patch Tuesday seems to have fixed it), maybe you should get off the Insider plan and get the regular build?

I was going to do that, but it says doing so will uninstall and reinstall Windows (and every other app on my hard drive). I think that will be a last resort. 😮

Here's a post where I explain how to rename the prefs folder

Well....I renamed my pref folder (per the above video) and nothing changed. 😞

Sorry to hear that...based on what you're telling me, I don't have more specific suggestions.
One question: Do you have graphics on the slow scroll pages?
Depending on file format, placed graphics can bog down a workflow.
If so, try turning off graphics to see if it resolves the issue.

Nothing even close to the solutions that Matt and Jeff suggest and may be pretty far from the solution, but I was having similar issues (especially when working remotely). The issues we remediated once I copied the FM objects to my laptop and worked from there.
regards,
Ben.

Thanks for your insight. I am going to do the same (move my FM files to my hard drive). I had a suspicion that the issue could be the work server b/c when I worked from home I had no problems at all (no slowness, no crashing, etc.)
