FM11 crashes on every book update

Sometimes it's just a crash, sometimes I get Internal error 11024, 18319245, 15830943, 1583335.

I'm guessing one of the files is corrupted? What can I do? How do I troubleshoot this?
Thanks in advance,

Carl

If you haven't already, open all the files and try to update; sometimes

there can be a problem opening files.

You may be correct thinking that you have a corrupt file.

First, if I were you, I'd make a backup of the entire book and directory

structure.

For debugging, you could try saving each component file out as a MIF,

opening the MIF and saving over the .FM source file -- that should clean up

any stray characters or file structure problems.

If that doesn't work, you can isolate the files by removing say half the

files from the book and trying to update. If it's still blowing up, your

problem file is in the half that's still in the book; remove more files

until you can build. Or just remove them one at a time....

Another possibility is that the book file itself is corrupt, but that's

less likely. You can test that by creating a new book and selecting and

copying the component files into it.

Good luck.

Sometimes the book file itself can get corrupted. It's easy enough to rebuild, so that may be another route to try.
