Hi,
I've FM9 (on XP SP3) frequently crash when moving the mouse cursor over one of the hidden "pods" in the lower side of the window (Conditional Text, to be precise).
I've sent Adobe several of the crash logs, but it seems there is no update fixing this issue.
Is someone else having this problem? I feel I alread asked this in this forum, but I can no longer find the thread.

Paolo,
are you "patched" to 9.0p255? See Help > About FrameMaker for the precise version number.

Paolo, do you need to have the Conditional text pod open in order to work? If not, you might "de-pod" or customize your workspace, and so have a workaround to the crash if it is caused by the conditional pod. Here's a forum thread; there are several easy suggestions at the end of the thread.

Sheila, I un-podded the Conditional Text panel, and moved it to the sidebar. Let's see if it continue crashing or not. The placement is a bit less comfortable, but I guess it is a matter of being accustomed to it.
Thanx,
Paolo

Alas, no way. FM crashes even when the Conditional Text pod is moved to the side toolbars.

Paolo, just to be clear, "undocking" the pods by moving them away from your work area is different from actually "de-podding" -- which means stopping the pod from being displayed -- by changing your workspace settings.
There are some instructions about creating a custom workspace, in which you can stop the pods from being displayed or being "active" even when they are being minimizd, here:

Sheila,
Ah, I see what you mean. But I cannot un-pod my pods, since I need them for my work. So, it seems I cannot use your clever workaround.
