Hi there.
Just wondering if there is a way to change the style of the tracked edits ?
People are finding the underlined green text difficult to read during a review.
Thanks,
Tina

Tina,
Unfortunately for FM9 - no, it's hardwired [even manuall changing the assigned color in the MIF file will result in the default colors being re-applied when opened in FM9].
However, FM10 has a Configure Color option for tracking text edits that does exactly what you want.

Thanks Arnis and Michael,
But does the Configure Color option allow you to remove the underline style? Sounds like that can't be changed...
Still deciding on whether to upgrade to FM10 at this time...

Unfortunately, it only allows you to change the color of the deleted or added text. The underline or strike-through sytles still remain.

Tina,
This is only possible with FrameMaker 10. See:

Tina, this is a bit of a long shot and others here may be able to suggest ways to make it work, but if you're creating PDFs, I wonder if you could use a 3rd party utility to change the green color at that stage rather than from within FM. Removing the underlining would be more difficult, but changing the color would I think be do-able.

Thanks Sheila,
Thank you for the suggestion - but it was specifically the underline I was looking at removing.
I think the reviewers will just have to live with it, personally I don't find it that difficult to read and it makes it pretty clear what is new text.
With the volume of manuals we work on and the amount of times we need to regenerate pdfs for updated files, I don't think I want to be changing the pdf file each time.
Thank you !
