Can you embed your screenshots? They don't seem to be coming through as attachments.

Ok, so it's just the font you're using in your FM content - not that actual FM UI language itself. I'd start by having a look at the font you're using - can it be distributed in your PDFs? Was it ever working before in FM PDF generation?

Hello Jeff_Coatsworth,
this font never worked in PDF generation.
We have PDFs files with that font created in our parent company, but when we want to edit text then error appered and written text is displayed as big dots which is shown in first screenshot.

Ok, first things first - What version of FM are you running? Are you all patched up? Check Help > Updates to check. What method are you using to create the PDF in FM? Depending on the version, there can be several. What's the name of the font? Is it a Unicode font? Can the font be legally embedded/distributed in PDFs?

1) version:Adobe FrameMaker (2019 release) 64 bit
- updated to the latest version
2) open the book, but not the files in the book. Then click on the book, File -> Save As PDF. Process crashed (as you can see in screenshot before).
- but it works when I open the file in book (e.g. „hauptteil.fm“) and then: File -> Save as PDF. But it is impossible to edit such PDF file in Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat reports „It is unable to find or open „NeueHelveticaForRittal-Light“ font.“
3)
Publish settings - default STS
4)name of the font is „NeueHelveticaForRittal-Light.otf“, it´s OpenType font and yes, it can be legally embedded/distributed in PDFs.
- maybe helpful legal information of the font:
