Please specify exact version numbers and make sure you are patched to the latest version.

As a hint: Arial Unicode MS is seen by FrameMaker as a Chinese font and since Times New Roman does not include any Chinese glyphs it seems to inherit the original font in the cross-reference.

I strongly recommend against using Arial Unicode MS as a text font, because it creates problems if used outide of Chinese text.

Thanks for your reply, now i understand the problem. I don't have any problem while using Arial font instead of Arial Unicode MS. I will try to avoid using Arial Unicode MS.

I have used "FrameMaker 9 - Version p.0p196".

The p196 version is four patches behind. You should patch your FM9 version to the latest version -  p255. You need to apply all patches in sequence. You can download them from here:
