FrameMaker 10 tagged PDF settings not saved

When I need to output a book as a tagged PDF more than once, I find that I have to reenter the settings for Included Paragraphs and Logical Stucture Level every single time, unlike my Bookmark settings, which are preserved.

This is true regardless of whether I'm using the Save As or Print route to PDF. This was not the case last year, when I was still using v7.2.

Is there some trick to make these settings stick?

(Version 10.0.2.419 on Windows 7)

I've never tried it, but I think I read somewhere that you need to set these settings for the first doc in the book & that's how it gets saved at the book level. The other thing would be to check your .joboptions settings through Acrobat or the Adobe PDF "printer".

Thanks. That worked.

I knew these were document level settings, but today I learned that:

  • Changing these settings at the book level is not persistant.
  • The first file defines them for the entire book.
